Refund Policy
Introduction
When you recharge your "Kripbooks" wallet via your credit/debit card you purchase perishable tokens (hereafter mentioned as credits/ "perishable" in-app purchases) worth your recharge amount. However, you will be charged an extra payment gateway fee depending on your credit/debit card network/ issuing bank.
KriptBooks payment processor recalculates the recharge amount to adjust the total payment required based on the external payment gateway fees to purchase the requested credit amount.
E.g. : As a user you want to purchase LKR 1000, worth of credits from KriptBooks. Based on your credit card network there is a 3.5% payment gateway fee. KriptBooks Payment processor adjusts the final recharge amount to LKR 1036.27 to offset external payment fees. (Please note the above values used in the calculation are approximations and will be different to what you see in the app)Please note: Cross-border foreign currency fee of 1% is applied by the 3rd party payment gateway on transactions made through foreign bank networks. The amount deducted by the cross-border fee is not adjusted by the KriptBooks payment processor. If you are a foreign cardholder, please increase your recharge amount by at least 1% to receive the requested credit amount deposit to your wallet.
Purchased credits can be spent on goods and services in "Kripbooks". (These goods and services are hereafter mentioned as "non-perishable" in-app purchases).
In-App Purchases
Perishable
In the event of a wallet recharge, users buy "Perishable In-App Purchases" mentioned above as "Credits". These credits are perishable by nature meaning that when you make an in-app purchase using credits its original value will be reduced and in exchange users get digital goods and services.
e.g.: A user spent LKR 100 credits to purchase an ebook.Non Perishable
Digital goods and services offered by KriptBooks fall into this category of In-App purchases. These types don't perish/degrade/expire after a purchase is made by the user.
e.g.: An ebook purchase worth LKR100 creditsImportant: Credits aren't considered real currency and are immune to Forex/market value appreciation/depreciation in the future. We use "LKR" to prefix the wallet balance and in-app purchase prices in the app. "LKR" is only used for decorative purposes and does not hold the same relationship as "Sri Lankan Rupees" (the currency).
Credit Refund
Please be mindful that credits are not refundable once purchased and can only be exchanged with goods and services offered by KriptBooks.
Digital Wallet
A digital wallet is created for each user after signing up for a KriptBooks account. The wallet acts as a "Credit" storage vault.
Please note that "KriptBooks" doesn't pay an interest rate for the remaining wallet balance.
