Become an affiliate member
Affiliations enable you to earn a commission as an influencer when you share content with your audiences. From the settings page, flip the "Affiliation" switch to become an affiliate member.
Affiliate commission and discountThese parameters are set by the publisher, team, or author and can be changed at any time based on requirements. To access commission and discount parameters for any paid publication, enable the "Enable affiliations" option in the publication form. Publishers and authors should keep in mind that affiliations will reduce the overall take-home revenue from publication purchases.
Publication discountThe publication discount is set by the KriptBooks administrator. However, the publisher, team, or author is welcome to request an amendment to the discount rate by contacting us.
An affiliate commission fee, affiliate discount and a seasonal discount will be considered by the payment processor when calculating the final payment amount.
E.g. : A publisher/team/author has enabled an affiliation commission of 10% and an affiliate discount of 10% for a publication priced at LKR 1000 credits. Additionally, the KriptBooks administrator has applied a 10% seasonal discount for customers.Breakdown of the charges
Publication listed price = LKR 1000
(Purchase price of the publication will be slightly adjusted on the checkout page depending on the payment processing fee. more about pricing)
DISCOUNTS
10% seasonal discount (Applied by the administrator on the listed price LKR 1000) = LKR 100
10% affiliate discount (Given by the publisher/team/author on the listed price LKR 1000) = LKR 100
Total discount (10% seasonal discount + 10% affiliate discount ) = LKR 200
Publication price after discounts = LKR 800
COMMISSIONS
10% affiliate commission paid to the affiliate member (Affiliate commission is calculated from the publication price after discounts) = LKR 80
FINAL AMOUNT
Final take-home price of the publication (Price after discount - 10% affiliate commission) = LKR 720
Please note: KriptBooks processes publication purchases and commission payments as two distinct transactions. If you are an author, publisher, or team, two transactions will be added to the wallet for publications with affiliations enabled: a credit transaction, which credits the publication amount after discounts, and a debit transaction, which indicates the commission payment made to the affiliate marketer.
