We at Kathuwaraya Digital have created a safe space to enhance the reading and writing experience of the Sri Lankan community by crafting an award-winning software platform.

Founded in 2018 by three Sri Lankan engineers, kathuwaraya.com has since achieved many notable milestones.

We were recognized at the national level by ICTA Sri Lanka, the information technology arm of the country, as one of the e-Swabhimani winners in 2021.

In the same year, Kathuwaraya was nominated for the prestigious World Summit Awards (WSA), marking our first-ever international appearance and making us the first Sri Lankan organization to win a World Summit Award!

Our Mission

Our mission is to discover and nurture talented Sri Lankan writers. In doing so, we are also preserving a language spoken by only a fraction of the world’s population for future generations.

Meet our team

Our team is a blend of energetic and experienced individuals from various industries, both within and outside of Sri Lanka. We bring expertise from each field to collaboratively build a world-class software platform for the Sri Lankan community, which we have been actively maintaining for over half a decade.

Community

kathuwaraya.com, a community-driven storytelling platform, houses the largest digital novels repository in Sri Lanka.

Over the years, many who initially discovered Kathuwaraya as a reading platform have transitioned into community writers, making significant contributions to the platform.
